Using Email Marketing to Stay in Contact With Prospects

Using Email Marketing to Stay in Contact With Prospects

by: Dave Roth
Once a contact has been made with a prospect or a customer, a salesperson must remember not to simply stop there. People can forget about a business or forget why that business was so important to them if they are not reminded of it often. This does not mean that a business should inundate a customer or prospect with information, as this can seem overbearing and annoying. However, making sure that a business stays in the mind of a prospect or customer is something that should be important to salespeople, business owners, and others that work in the business of providing goods and services to individuals.
One of the best ways to stay in touch with prospects and customers is through the use of email marketing. This obviously only works if the prospect or customer has provided the salesperson with his or her email address, but most people will provide that information to a business if they are actually interested in the product or service. Once a business has a customers or prospects email address, that business can use email marketing to stay in contact with these individuals. By sending out reminders of upcoming sales, holiday announcements, and perhaps even a company newsletter, customers and prospects are reminded of the business without feeling as though they are being nagged to make a purchase.

Nagging at customers rarely endears a business to them, but reminding them of important things that they do not want to miss can make them appreciate a business that much more. Sending a happy holiday greeting can liven the spirits of a prospect or customer that may need a little boost, and telling customers about sales that can save them money will also make them want to come back. If they are already customers, they will continue to be customers, and if they are only prospects, they may decide to become customers. This will not only give them good deals, but it will affect the business bottom line and increase its profits.

Make Money Using Easy Article Marketing Techniques

Make Money Using Easy Article Marketing Techniques
Unless you are very new to the business, or live in a cave, you’ve probably heard of article marketing. There are a number of advantages in using article marketing for your online business. It is a very effective technique to advertise a website, promote a product, build traffic to your site, increase back links to improve a website’s ranking, and make money online. And the best thing about article marketing, it’s FREE!

How do you participate in article marketing? It is easy. Write short, 300 to 500 word articles and submit them to 10 to 25 of the largest article submission directory sites. (You can find these sites by doing a search.) Include an author’s resource box in each article you write. Your resource box should include 2 or 3 links to the websites or products that you are promoting. As people see your links, they will click on them, visit the site or products that you are recommending, and make you money.
To get the most benefit from your resource box, your article should be related to the sites or products that you are promoting in your resource box. For example, if your website is about bird watching, you would benefit most by writing an article on “Finding Red-Headed Woodpeckers In The Wild.” People who are interested enough to read the article will also have an interest in seeing what you have to offer on your bird watching website. There is a good chance that many of them will click on your links and visit your site.

On the other hand, if your site is about bird watching and your article is about the newest rock group, few rockers will click on your links. You should always make sure that your links are closely related to the information in your article. This is the way to maximize the amount of money you make through article marketing.

How To Make Good Money With Article Marketing

How To Make Good Money With Article Marketing

Article Marketing. I’m sure you’ve heard the term, but do you really know what it is and why you should use it? In a nutshell, article marketing is making money off short 300-500 word essays or articles. It is popular because it is very effective and it is free. What do I need to write about you ask? Well, the answer is “almost anything”. Most of the time, the articles are written in the form of a review or guide. To be a money making venture, the article has to promote some product or service that you are involved in. This can be an item or service you sell personally through your website or an item or service you sell for someone else. The “someone else” is called an affiliate. An affiliate is a company that pays you money to sell their goods. The money you make is usually in the form a percentage of total sales you make for the company or sometimes it is a flat rate. There are a lot of affiliate sites out there and probably the best one to start with is clickbank.com. Clickbank represents many hundreds of companies and does a good job helping you to promote their products and services. Because there are a LOT of companies, it is pretty easy to find a company selling something you are familiar with. You should always start with something you are familiar with.

How do the articles actually make me money you ask? The articles end with a link to your website or an affiliate’s website. Finished articles are then submitted to an article distribution website like ezinearticles.com, articledashboard.com or goarticles.com. Once there, articles get readers, some of whom will hopefully become customers. Later, due to the exposure on the sites, your article will start showing up as top results on Google and Yahoo. People will click your links, buy the product or service, and make you money. To get more customers you can write more articles. Some people write many articles for one product, others write just a few. Your mileage will vary. Once you’ve got your first campaign up and going you can pick yourself a new item to promote, write a new article and submit it to a few article sites. Repeat again and again and again. The more articles you write, the more money you will make. Do some article research at ezinearticles.com. You’ll find a ton of articles on article marketing and get a good idea of how a successful article should look.

“Wait!”, you say. “This all sounds good but I’m a terrible writer. I can’t write articles.” Think again. It may seem intimidating but you can write articles and good ones at that. They’re really not all that hard to write and there are some excellent article writing tools available to help. Instant Article Wizard is the best of those tools. It is an automatic, brainstorming, article writing, genius piece of software. No article writer should be without it and it makes those crucial first few articles a lot easier. If you are an experienced writer you can easily double or triple your output.

Using Postcard Marketing to Keep in Touch With Prospects & Customers

Using Postcard Marketing to Keep in Touch With Prospects & Customers

by: Dave Roth

There are many ways to keep the interest of a customer or prospect, and to ensure that person is reminded of a particular business. One of the more old-fashioned but still very effective ways to do this is through the use of postcard marketing. This can help a business keep in touch with both prospects and customers, and make sure that people know what they can expect to receive from a business in both goods and services. Letting individuals know this and keeping it in the forefront of their minds goes a long way toward building good customers relationships that are strong and that will last for a long period of time.
Postcard marketing is relatively inexpensive. Bulk postcards can be bought, or more expensive ones can be purchased for a more personal touch. Either way, they cost very little and mailing them out is also much less than the cost of a letter or package. Because of this, they are a very economic way of staying in touch with prospects and customers. This helps the business because it brings in more traffic and raises profits. In turn, it helps the customers and prospects because they are reminded of sales and other special offers that the business might have for them. In addition, keeping a business in a customers mind these days is not easy when there are so many businesses to choose from.
In order to keep up with the competition, individuals in the business world know that they must advertise. They do not want to ignore their customers, because another business will come along and snatch those people away. However, they know if they nag, customers will quickly tire of that, as well. There is a delicate balance that companies and their salespeople must find, and in order to do this they analyze customer trends and work to get to know what people that shop with them really need. Postcard marketing can be a great way to keep in touch with customers and at the same time make sure that these customers are not being nagged.

98% of Internet Marketers Fail in Their Network Marketing!

Did You Know That 98% of Internet Marketers Fail in Their Network Marketing?
by Martin Dekker
Send Feedback to Martin Dekker
Why do they fail?

There are two main reasons they fail.

1. They think it is a get-rich-quick scheme; and once they realize they are not making any M.o.n.e.y after their first month, they quit and jump to the next program that's out there--a very expensive thing to do.

2. They spend all their savings on the wrong kind of advertising and end up broke before they start earning an income. (Purchasing leads)

Once you realize that network marketing is a long-term investment plan to become financially successful, the better off you will be.

Look at it this way. If you opened up a corner store in your hometown, would you really believe you could start making a profit in your first month of business? No, of course not. Well network marketing is no different. The worse thing to do is to quit before you have even started, and by that I mean you need to give it at least 6 months to a year before you start seeing great results! If you're not up to giving it that much time, then please for your own sake don't bother even trying.

Network marketing is a highly lucrative business and will give you financial freedom! But you need to give it time to grow!

Okay, so now we have established that you have to be prepared to give network marketing at least 6 to 12 months time. How are you going to do that and how are you able to sustain the cost involved in advertising your business and your monthly fees associated with it?

This is the problem that most of us get stuck with and quit! We end up realizing it's costing us too much before we have even made anything out of our business and have no option but to stop.

There is a solution to this though. What if I told you a secret that every top 2% of marketers use to fund their advertising cost and at the same time bring in endless amounts of targeted traffic to their internet business.

If you can make a lucrative income of your advertising and create enough interest in your internet business, you're not only self-funding your advertising but you are also earning and creating a flow of traffic to your main internet business for life. And it's all automated!

That is the only way to sustain your income to cover your advertising cost and then within 6 to 12 months time you will have an exploding network marketing business to be proud of. I guarantee you!

How to Enroll 100% Business Builders

How to Enroll 100% Business Builders
by Joe Shaw
When people are looking for a way to make money from home, they are reasonably skeptical. They are afraid of making the wrong choice, and they don't know if what they are looking at will actually work. No one wants to waste time, money, or effort on something to figure out if they can do it.

One of the problems with making up a names list and calling your uninterested friends and family is that it feels like you're constantly dragging people uphill. First you try to get them on the products, then you try to get them to upgrade, then you try to get them to refer some people . . . it's a headache from day one.

One way to getting hungry, qualified, interested people coming to you is to use something called information marketing. Some people also call it educational marketing. Information marketing offers people VALUABLE information that educates them about a particular topic. When you have a systematic way of introducing your information to people who are hungry for it, your business can take on a whole new life.

You can actually teach your potential prospects HOW to do your business BEFORE they are even in your business. You don't have to drag them into anything. They know coming into your business how they are going to make it happen, because your system has already educated them and weeded out the people who weren't interested.

In most companies, the vast majority of people who enroll just enroll to get the product or service. With informational marketing, you can actually enroll 100% business builders if you choose.

What would happen if you could enroll 100% business builders?

With information marketing, you can enroll any kind of prospects you want. The reason is you're going to pick a niche topic to be the authority on. You control what you enroll by controlling what you educate people about. If you want to market products, you just base your information around that. If you want to market to potential business owners, you'll build your information around that.

The goal of all your information marketing is to help you discover who is already hungry, qualified, and interested.

Eight Keys to Success

Who among us does not want to be successful? Everybody wants to achieve some level of success, whether it be in their personal life or in the business world. Below are eight keys to success that everyone should follow in their daily routine.
1. Set Goals. By doing this you will be able to work towards success in a logical manner. Most people do not know how to find success, so they jump from area to area in hopes that it falls in their lap. And this rarely happens. Instead, you need to set goals so that you are aware of the direction that you are moving in. After you successfully meet and conquer one goal, you will then want to move on to your next one. After a while, you will see your self-confidence rise and your success increase.

2. Find inspiration for your goals. If you are aspiring to be the top sales manager in your company, look for inspiration from somebody who has been there before. Inspiration can often be found in the most surprising places. Many people turn to books in order to find somebody to look up to. This is a great way in finding someone to look up to that is already successful.

3. Plan out your day in correspondence with your goals. In order to reach your goals you are going to have to know how to get there. By setting out a daily step-by-step process, you will be able to reach smaller goals that will eventually lead you to the big goal at the end.

4. Pay attention to your progress. At the end of every day make sure that you look back and see if you did what you needed to do in order to reach your goal. If you did not, find out why, and then come up with a way to solve this problem in the future.

5. Don't give up. There is no reason to ever give up on your goal. If you do, it is your own fault. By sticking with your daily steps, you will get to your goal sooner or later. The only thing that can stop you is quitting.

6. Look forward to the end. By visualizing what it will be like to reach your goal, you will be pushed to work harder.

7. Think positive. You never want to tell yourself that you cannot reach your goal or that you are failing. By thinking positive you will always be on the right track to success.

8. Appreciate the opportunity. By appreciating the opportunity to reach your goal you are already halfway to the end result. Do not lose sight of why you want to be successful.

Home Business, Truth in Internet Marketing

Home Business, Truth in Internet Marketing
by Teresa Bishop
I am a military wife. My husband serves in the United States Army and is currently serving his third tour of duty in Iraq. I am an extension of him and his service. What I do, what I say and how I act directly affects him, even while he is deployed. There is a certain code that we, the wives, live or should live by. We have to have ethics, we have to have integrity and we have to give facts, not gossip or rumors. To do otherwise could cause great pain and damage to those affected by the rumors. It also causes problems for the soldiers who are then explaining why their wives are spreading such spiteful things. Gossip, rumors and assumptions are not facts.

Another thing I have noticed is, when unable to show proof, it almost assuredly ends up hurting the person who started them in the first place far worse than it ever did their latest subject of disdain. One thing I firmly believe, when a rumor is started, the burden of proof is not on the victim; the burden of proof lies in the hands of the one making the claims. Why am I telling you all of this? Read on and you will see the point I hope to make.

I often spend long periods of time surfing the internet to research articles, look at advertisements and in general, see what others out there have to say about many subjects. Most of the time it is in an effort to learn new and better ways, or ways that are better for me personally to market. I look at ads just to see what title or headlines draw me in. Yes, I look at what other marketers are doing and I have spoken to others that also watch. Lately I have noticed some marketing tactics that I find disturbing and, at the very least, questionable. I believe you earn respect in whatever you do. It is the same in your advertising and marketing. Do not take the respect you have earned lightly; make sure you always deserve it. Once respect is lost, it is extremely hard to regain.

Here are some of the marketing tactics I have noticed while doing my research or just surfing the internet . . .

I love this line, "You should not have to pay someone to work for them." I have seen this line used on a lot of forums by people who are hoping to sign others up for their FREE program. I will not argue this point because, of course, I am not going to pay someone to work FOR THEM. But what does this type of marketing tell me? First, I have to ask, where do the profits come from? But most of all what it says very loudly to me is . . . join my program and you will still be working for someone else. WHAT? I am looking for my own business and this suggests the opposite. I would not go into a store and expect them to hand it over to me for nothing; there would be an investment. Why do some people think it should be different in an internet business? It is called an investment for a reason and every day of our lives we have to invest something of ourselves, whether it is time, money or energy.

I get a lot of emails and read a lot of forums pronouncing this program or that program to be, oh the dreaded word . . . SCAMS. People readily talk about what a bad investment it is. They seem to know everything there is to know about it . . . until . . . someone inquisitive, like myself, starts asking questions. That is when you learn that they have never researched it, talked to anyone who runs the business, or been a member themselves. So, how can they know so much? It is all a tactic to get you, the "consumer" to invest in their business. I have seen it happen; people take their word as fact. Well, he says he is a guru, he must know what he is talking about. All this is, is someone marketing their own program by tearing down another. To be honest, this method makes me curious about the other program. Why is it such a threat? Is it so successful that others are being left behind? What exactly is this person so afraid of that makes him need to market this way? I think I will go check the other company out and see.

Ads are everywhere you look. Anything you "google" will bring up an ad of some kind. Some are really good and some make me ask, what was that person thinking? We all know it is the title, or headline that is the initial attraction to an ad. If you have a powerful headline, people will want to know more. There are a few headlines I have seen that make me raise my eyebrows and question the integrity of the submitter. Again, many headlines, like the forums I discussed, use a smear tactic to get that all-important click.

"This Company Name" NO! is what one reads or why I don't like "company name." I have clicked out of curiosity and most of them I have found to be copycats of the very company they are smearing. What is this? You are advertising an opportunity very much like the one you say is no good? What sense does that make?

The promise of join my team and you won't have to work, the money will just flow in, is not something I use. How many ads have we seen that make such promises? Everything takes some effort. Everything takes a certain amount of work. Even applying for welfare takes effort on the part of the person who has found themselves in need. If you were lucky enough to win a huge lottery, you will still have put in some effort and made some kind of investment just to buy the ticket. Don't advertise this way to draw people in, it is not honest and what will happen is, the person signs up, pays their investment and finds out they were lied to. Not good business sense.

The use of someone's name as a title is another tactic I have seen. Usually it is the name of a successful marketer or head of a competing company. How pathetic for someone to stoop to such a level. Can they not draw people in on their own merit? Think about this, how would you feel if you went online one day to see your name used in an ad title, you click and there it is advertising an adult site. Wouldn't that upset you? I personally would be livid. If you want to use my name this way, you better be sure you have my permission. I am not talking about using quotes here; quotes are used to drive a point home and the person is given the credit for his own words and work. They are inspiration to the writer and readers. But to just place a competitor's name as a title to an ad suggests to me that number one you must not have enough confidence in your own ability to drive traffic and number two the person whose name you used must have a lot going for him or her and just might be someone I would want to talk to about investing in their company.

Websites that are put in place for no other reason than to launch a smear campaign on a person or company is a method I find appalling. I came across one by accident a few weeks ago; and as I listened to the audios and read the words, I found myself thinking that this sounded like a gossip column, a he said, she said type of thing. What it boiled down to in the end was, someone had his or her feelings hurt, jumped ship, joined another company and decided this would be a great way to take others with him. It was full of things that were being reported as facts; but upon further investigation, I found they were all way off base.

So, what happens when someone in his new company hurts his feeling? What would happen if I followed him into the new company and he got upset with me? Would I find my name being smeared in an audio online? Look at the big picture; if they do it to one, they will do it to many others. Is this the kind of reputation you want in the business world? Be careful of what you do, things have a way of coming back to haunt you. If someone makes you mad or hurts your feelings, that should be between you and that person; and it should always be worked out as adults, not spread on a webpage for the whole world to see and certainly not used as a marketing tactic. It reminds me of the rumor game we played in school, where you whisper in the next person's ear and it goes down the line; by the time it reaches the last person, it is completely different than what was originally said.

As military wives, we have a saying when things don't go the way we hoped. Please excuse the expression, but it is honestly what we say, "put on your big girl panties and deal" . . . we are not children fighting over a toy. We are adults in a business world; let's act like it.

We all need to earn a living and being able to do so from your home is a gift. You need to do your due diligence and research, seek support and be on as many training sessions as you possibly can. I have sought out training from people I consider to be the best of the best and have been able to take what they have taught me and use it, and you can rest assured that I will continue with this training. I take advantage of my company's training and seek out training from others who have much to offer. It is some of the best education I can get on how to market, and I am learning to write ads properly, ads that do not step outside the ethical boundaries.

So, when advertising and going about their daily marketing routine, people really need to stop and think about what they are doing. Is it honest? Is it ethical? Am I being professional? Just like everything I do as a military wife reflects back on my husband and his career, how I advertise reflects back on my company and all those in my company trying to make an honest living. For me to do anything to jeopardize it is taking food out of the mouths of my team members, my partners and me. If I practice high standards, I can expect high standards in return. If I use unethical practices, I can expect the same against me. We reap what we sow; and if we are too busy stealing from another's garden, our own garden will suffer.

Don't become a he said, she said advertising statistic. Be open, be honest, be ethical and have integrity.

Profitable Home Business: The First Steps to an Online Home Business

Profitable Home Business: The First Steps to an Online Home Business
by Janice Sharman
Statistics indicate that "home-based businesses" are the fastest growing portion of the U.S. economy; and since the U.S. sets the global business trends, it means that most of the computer literate world will soon follow this trend. It has been predicted that in the next decade, up to 75 percent of the world's working population will work from their own homes.

As more and more people think about starting a home business it is imperative to know the areas you need to research when starting your first online business. Here are a few basic guidelines:

1. Evaluate your talents and skills. Start by evaluating your areas of expertise. What are you good at and more important what do you enjoy doing? Do you have good communication skills? Are you creative?

Do something you enjoy doing and are excited about. Remember, this home business is going to be your means of support, so you should choose a niche that is exciting to you. If you are having fun with your home business, you will be more likely to stick with it through the rough times. If you are passionate about your business, your excitement will show and it will not be difficult to get your customers enthusiastic about your products or services.

2. Do your market research. Before you start your home business, do a thorough research of your market and your competition. A good guide would be to ask yourself these questions: What product or service are you planning to sell? - Who wants your product or service? Who will be your "typical" customer or client? - What are the particular trends in the industry of your choice? - Is there a need for your product or service? Is your niche already saturated? - How will you market your business? Research the effectiveness of various types of marketing techniques. - How will you set yourself apart from your competition?

3. Research your competition. Who is your competition? How and what are they doing? What aspects of their business can you improve on? It is very likely that they have made mistakes along the way - learn from their mistakes. If you can find a service your competition does not offer where you can solve people's problems, web visitors will most likely use your business as opposed to that of your competition.

4. Design your website. Your website should be unique and must effectively describe your services or products. Create a website that is easy to navigate with clear and precise instructions and full of valuable information.

It is not difficult to build a website today. You can use easily available resources and tools, like low-cost website templates, free or inexpensive authoring software and affordable programs that will show you how to quickly and easily build and design a website.

People surf the internet searching for information. If your website is a good source of useful, well-written information, it will attract a wealth of visitors that are targeted to your website's theme.

5. Get your business listed free in the search engines. Search engines like Google, Yahoo, AOL, Alta Vista are great ways to drive lots of customers to your website. It would be savvy to learn basic "search engine optimization," as search engines are one of the primary sources of getting targeted visitors to any website.

Learn how to build and market your home business at a pace that is comfortable to you. Don't be in a hurry. Allocate time to obtaining a proper online home business education and marketing training before you launch your website; it will help you to avoid many of the pitfalls made by the majority of home-based business newcomers and help to fulfill your dream of building a successful and profitable home business.

Just a few short years ago, I was a working stiff just like you.

One day, I bought and read a book called "Multiple Streams of Income" by bestselling author, Robert Allen. Immediately, I began my journey.

Every night after work and after my wife and children went to sleep, I would get online and explore different ways of using the Internet to make money.

In the two years that followed, I spent over $10,000 racking up credit card debt buying eBooks, membership sites, special reports, opt-in leads, and joining every "guru" recommended business opportunity that flew into my email inbox.

I stayed up learning, working, and drinking coffee until 5:00 in the morning, month after month filled with the hope of making money online.

In my third year of working part-time to build a home based income, I finally broke through and earned over $100,000 in just twelve months from the Internet.

BECOME THE MASTER OF YOUR LEARNING CURVE

Research the lives of all of the "gurus." The one thing that you will learn is that my own experience is not unique. Most of the high earners on the Internet experienced a learning curve very similar to my own.

Chances are that your curve will also be similar to mine, but it is my hope that you can get to the top faster than even I did. Three years was a long time to struggle, but every ounce of struggle was worth the reward I have finally received.

In order to shorten your own learning curve, you must do a few things differently than the rest of us did. You must become the master of your learning curve.

THE SHORTEST DISTANCE BETWEEN TWO POINTS IS A STRAIGHT LINE

There is only one way to shorten the curve on the Internet:

You must plan to succeed!

Here is the deal. Most people put up a freebie website and select a few affiliate programs to add to their website. Right out of the gate, most people are running for the finish line without any real plan in mind.

After a few short weeks, people begin to see the writing on the wall that says, "This is going to be a long hard road."

People check their hit counters daily for six weeks before they realize that getting traffic to their free site is going to be tough.

At this point, they begin developing their first batch of advertising. Then they spend countless months finding places to show their advertisements for free. Some make an even more drastic mistake by blowing thousands of hard earned dollars on their new and untested ads.

These are the people who will learn the facts of life the hard way.

In time, they will learn how to make their advertising work for them, but most will earn very little money from their affiliate programs.

At this point in the learning curve, most people throw up their hands and walk away from their dreams in utter disgust. Instead of a walking away point, this should have convinced the struggling online entrepreneur that they were simply traveling the wrong road.

YOU MUST PLAN TO SUCCEED

From day one, you must begin to learn about the nuances of web promotion. Read everything you can get your hands on. Don't just read the hype, back it up with the opinions of others who have reviewed the same programs before you came along. Learn from their mistakes and successes.

As you begin to learn, you must also look to make a decision. Do you want to step into a pre-built program that is designed to help you to succeed, OR do you want to create a completely new program of which you are the sole owner?

If you decide to step into a pre-designed and complete turn-key online money-making venture, then you must select the right venture to step into. If this is your decision, I encourage you to examine the Plug In Profit Site at: http://www.HomeBusiness.us

If you decide to go the journey on your own, then do all of the necessary research, planning and preparation that is needed for your success.

PREPARE TO SUCCEED

Decide what you think you would want to do, and then figure out how your planned site will generate a real income.

Internet old-timers know about hundreds of corporation domains that existed with IPO millions, but did not have an actual money plan that could sustain their business model. Most of these companies were among the hundreds of companies that bellied up in the 2000 dot bomb experience.

Don't blindly believe in your plan. Research others on the web who have undertaken similar business models and see if they have survived. Study your competitors in depth to learn what is working for them and what did not work for them. To better understand what has or has not worked for competitor websites, check out their time lapsed progressions using the Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org

Once you have determined your money plan, then you should undertake the development of a business plan and a marketing plan. Utilize professional assistance if you need to do so. While creating your plans, make a determination as to which domain name you think would be best, then register it along with a hosting account. A good place to do this is at Host4Profit which you'll find in Step 2 at: http://www.HomeBusiness.us

Once you have developed your business plan and marketing plan and have run them through several revisions, then it will be time to buy your domain name and to begin work with a site designer and developer. You may need to have your domain sitting on a web host for your site developer, but this is not always necessary. While they are doing their work, enlist a copywriter to help you with your site sales copy.

When your site designer and developer have your site working, you should then undertake significant testing to make sure everything works as planned. It is much harder to fix problems on a operational site than it is to fix problems on a site that has yet to be launched.

When testing is done, then you should fill in your sales copy and then shoot for launch. Of course, you already have a marketing plan in place, so your preparation here will be simply a matter of putting the pieces of the puzzle into place.

You are finally ready to open for business. Don't be afraid to spend the money to bring your dream alive. Time can replace money in the goal of starting a profitable online business, but money invested can shave years off of your company's growth.

7 Ways To Convert Your Traffic Into Cash

If you have a website, you can profit from even the tiniest number of visitors it receives simply by not wasting that traffic.

The KEY is in leveraging on each visitor and making sure you have a monetization strategy in place. Once you get this, you can make any website profitable with a little effort.

Here are 7 basic ways in which you can profit from your traffic today:

1. Sell a product/service

First you can sell a product or service to your visitors. This is the best way to cash in from your own product. Usually an e-book or software works the best – they can be downloaded right away without hassle and shipping charges.

2. Opt-In list

It is crucial you try to convert every visitor of yours to a subscriber of your mailing list. The most important asset that an Internet marketer has is his or her list of subscribers. They define whether you will go far in the online business venture.

With an opt-in list, there are tons of ways you can profit further into the future. You can build repeat customers and turn your list members into partners for your products. For an example of a good opt-in page, visit http://www.InstantMarketingSecrets.com

3. Viral marketing

You can provide a free product or bonus on your site to be downloaded by your visitors. Usually it’ll be an e-book where people can read from and learn useful information. In this bonus, you include give away rights and urge readers to give it away to anyone they want to. This way, you increase your own traffic, publicity and branding without needing to spend a cent.

4. 'Pay-per-click'

In this case, you get paid when your visitors click on ads you place on your site. There are many advertising programs that give you a percentage of the profits based on click through, including Google Adsense, Chitika, Yahoo Publisher Network and Kontera.

When people click on the ads shown from either of these advertising programs, you will earn money. And if your site receives good traffic, these programs alone can bring in huge paychecks to you.

5. Offer an advertising space

Targeted niche websites with high traffic can 'rent' a portion of space on their web page to advertisers. For example you can charge $300 per month in advertising fee if your web page is pulling more than 2000 visitors a day. I use this strategy at my Online Marketing Secrets blog at http://www.EwenChia.com

Other than that, you can also generate advertising revenue using exit pop-ups. By doing this, you won't clutter your website with too many ads and spoil the visitor's experience.

6. Affiliate marketing

If you don’t have your own products for sale yet, you can sell other people’s products instead and receive a commission on every sale. With affiliate marketing, you have an unlimited source of products to sell and you don’t need to go through any fulfillment issues after your sales.

One of the best affiliate marketing training resources can be found at http://www.SecretAffiliateWeapon.com where I provide continual education on affiliate marketing to members.

7. Pay-per-lead

Instead of earning money from click through, you are paid if your visitors subscribe into other people’s mailing list. Alternatively there are a lot of big companies like Coca-Cola who need surveys to be done, and by referring your visitors to complete surveys, you can also earn good profits from your website.

How to Use Article Directories to Increase Traffic

How to Use Article Directories to Increase Traffic

SEO. Keywords. Metatags. Metadescriptions. Spiders. Robots.

Do you feel overwhelmed when you hear people talking about all
these things? Most people do. Here's a quick glossary, and then
the reason you don't have to worry about these words if you know a
couple of web secrets.

- Metatags - Words embedded in your web page that tell viewers and
search engine automatons about the content on your page.

- Metadescriptions - Same as metatags, but in sentence form, and
with the possibility of being used on search engines as your site
description.

- Keywords - The words you use in your metas and in the text on
your page to describe your product or service.

- Spiders or Robots - miniprograms or automations sent out to
automatically browse the Web by search engines, they catalog your
site by keywords.

- SEO - Search Engine Optimization, this means your site has the
appropriate keywords and structure to be properly cataloged by
those spiders and robots.

Here's why this information isn't that important: it's archaic.
Metas were devised in the early days of the search engines, when
they weren't terribly powerful, so that your good content could be
properly referenced by the engines.

What they found was that unscrupulous webmasters loaded up the
metas with keywords that were popular and would rank well, but that
really had nothing to do with the content on the page. This is
called search engine spam because it works the same way and is
approximately as useful.

Spiders today don't pay much attention to the metas. They look for
keywords in your content, and the most cutting-edge ones look for
grammatical structure as well.

It won't be long before they can tell whether your site is actually
sensible. And they are looking for web pages that are frequently
updated, not just static sites that contain the same information
year in and year out.

Interestingly, your customers are looking for good content as well.
One simple little trick can satisfy both of them inexpensively.

Good articles containing information about your product or service,
rotated regularly.

Drive Traffic with Great Content

Not everyone can write well enough to fulfill this requirement. And
not everyone has the time to sit and write these articles. For
those who can't, there are several options.

You can hire a professional writer to ghostwrite these articles for
you. This is an expensive and time-consuming prospect. Most writers
charge a minimum of $35 per hour, and web writers often charge much
more.

And you'll have to sit with that writer, educate him or her on your
product or service, and ensure they're ready to tackle writing
about it before they start.

You can copy someone else's content with permission. This is an
interesting idea. There are a number of online databases that
provide pre-written articles optimized for your keywords, for free.

The hitch: you must also display a resource box on your website
referencing the original author of the article and providing a link
back to his or her page. This makes them into the expert, not you.

You can purchase keyword-optimized articles from an article broker
like www.YourOwnArticles.com . This is the happy medium. You have
good optimized articles, created for you by professional writers,
published on your site with your name, and costing you minimal cash
because they are mass-produced.

Using Article Directories for Your Purposes

But wait, there's more!

After you purchase articles to publish on your website with your
name, you can also buy extras to publish to article directories.
Not everyone's going to be as smart as you about how they put
content on their site.

Many will instead take the easy way, and download those free
articles to publish, with resource boxes, to their own website.

If they download your articles, those resource boxes will point to
your website. In essence, you can direct traffic from your
competitors and from those who provide similar or complementary
products and services to you, straight to your own website. And you
can do it for free, after the cost of the article.

Some article directories online are:

- Ezine Articles: http://www.ezinearticles.com

Creating effective Ads

Creating effective Ads By Cody Moya

Today's article deals with a subject that we all need to
read, study and understand...how to create an EFFECTIVE ad.

Online advertising on the Internet leaves a lot to be
desired. We have ads that emulate Windows-warning boxes. We
have pop-ups and pop-unders. All of these are developed with
the intent to make people notice them.

However, most of them only end up irritating them. Advertisers,
especially those with small budgets, can't afford to waste money on
ineffective buys. In order to optimize your advertising buys, you
need to concentrate on improving your creative.

Here are some tips that might help:

Step 1: Define clear goals of your advertising campaign

The most important aspect of any advertising campaign is to
have a clear objective in mind. You may be targeting a
specific group of people, your initial aim may be to target
at least 1000 internet surfers and so on and so forth. Have
a well defined, clear purpose.

Step 2: Identify the most effective sites for achieving your
goals

Sites that are most relevant to your product or service
will, more than likely, be your best bet; but also consider
larger sites or networks that can target the audience you're
trying to reach. They can be very cost-effective. If you
have multiple products or services that appeal to various
target markets, you'll have to consider sites that reach all
those various segments.

Step 3: Craft your message to fit the needs of the audience
you're targeting

This comes down to understanding the audience of the sites
you're advertising on. The message you use on a technology
site to appeal to technologically savvy customers won't have
the same appeal for visitors on a small-business site. Focus
your campaign.

Step 4: Content of your Ad

Pay particular attention to the content of the Ad. The
content should be such that it clearly distinguishes your
product or service from your competitors'. Have a catchy
headline. The headline is probably the most important part
of the Ad - It is the customer puller.

Step 5: Formulate the specific promotional messages that
correspond to your goals

The promotional messages should concentrate on the major
selling points of your product or service and have a strong
call-to-action.

Step 6: Make the desired action clearly visible

This certainly doesn't mean the desired action should
necessarily blink, bounce or do flips, but it should be
visible within an accepted format for the media you're
using. In the case of the Internet, underlined text links,
"click here" text entry boxes, and pull-down menus are all
ways you can make the desired action clearly visible.

Step 7: Design the ad so it looks like it belongs on the
sites where you're advertising

For instance, you may want to use the site's font faces in
your text, color schemes in your background, font color
choices overall, and emulate images where appropriate. Try
to conform to the environment so potential customers
visiting the site don't gasp in shock when they see your ad.

Step 8: Produce multiple versions of each ad

Create three or four versions of each ad, changing the
promotional message, call-to-action, font faces and color
schemes. This is especially important if you're doing price
testing or gauging reaction to specific promotions. By
splitting your advertising buy among the various versions of
your creative, you can then start to optimize your buy based
on the message that works best.

With these tips, you will not only be able to create an ad,
but you will be able to create an effective ad that does
what it is supposed to do - sell your products and services.

Article Marketing Strategy

Article Marketing Strategy Defined It is my belief that article marketing will be around for a mighty long time and it is my duty to teach as many people as possible how to write articles, use article marketing strategically, and build great sites that are filled with high value content. Article marketing is one of the fastest ways to develop back links to your website resulting in improved search engine results.

Article Marketing will help you increase your link popularity, search engine positioning for your keywords and phrases, and it helps you reach more potential customers for your products or services.
Regular readers of my blogs know I’ve been testing article marketing using the article distribution and repository service from Ezine Articles. Ezine Articles allows writers to publish articles that include a special area at the end called a resource box. Other webmasters and publishers are allowed to reprint the article on their own websites, newsletters or blogs, as long as they keep the resource box intact. If you are struggling to keep a regular email newsletter going reprinting articles can be a fantastic way to reduce your workload.

I started article marketing by reprinting a small selection of the articles I published to Entrepreneur’s Journey from about July 2005 onwards. Testing Article TitlesBesides the direct traffic results there are some other important benefits from using article marketing.

The same of course applies in article marketing but it also impacts whether your article is republished. With article marketing you provide articles you've written to other Web sites, blogs and eZines for free. Article marketing has several benefits, including establishing yourself as an expert, lead generation, increased site traffic and improved search engine rank.

You can write articles and place them in thousands of places to put your name before millions of people, establish yourself as an expert on your subject matter, and drive traffic to your websites. The object is to drive traffic to your website. Many people who promote article marketing as a wonder cure to generate traffic and get search engine ranking do not realize this.

Make sure your article is very well-written, pretty original, and laser-targetted to the blog/website you’re submitting to. Only submit to one site at a time, and give them time to make a decision (at least a couple of weeks) before trying the next one. Keep writing, keep submitting, and keep trying different sites.

Keep in mind that article marketing is a timeless strategy and you may not have an easy ability to retract what you put in your article once it hits major distribution.

How Free Articles and Content Have Revolutionized Internet Marketing

By Moe Tamani [ 04/01/2008 ]
[ viewed 24 times ]

Having an internet site is a great way to generate interest in your business. But with all the hassle of running a business, who has time to keep it updated? Yet, if you don’t have new content occasionally, people will stop visiting your site, making it a wasted effort.
Of course, you could hire a writer to come up with new content. However, that costs money and the writer might not come up with articles that meet your business’ needs. So what do you do?
One very popular solution is to find articles on the internet. There are many websites that offer articles on just about any subject you can imagine. Even better, there are many sites that offer those articles for free. Yes, that’s right – it doesn’t cost you a thing to use them.
Why on earth would a writer offer his or her hard work for free? They do it mainly for exposure. Like any other industry, publishing is very competitive. Even if something is brilliantly written, it is very difficult to get it published. However, submitting the article to an on-line service, that article could very well get “picked up” by a website (like yours) where more people would see it.
That exposure could generate interest in a writer’s other work. The writer could also be inspired to write more articles on the same topic. The more articles he or she writes, the better the chances are that he or she can land a paying writing job.
Well, that’s great for a beginning writer, but what about the website owner (i.e., you?) You gain by gaining access to fresh content on a subject related to your business. Post the article to your website, and then change it with newer content on a regular basis. This encourages visitors to return to your site often. Thus, you build a rapport with them and the visitor is more likely to use your business in the future.
So, how do you make this work for your business? First, use your favorite search engine to look for “free articles”. You’ll be surprised at how many sites offer them. Choose one, then look at the subject categories available, then simply choose one that meets the needs of your business and website.
For example, let’s pretend you are a veterinarian and you want to find articles for your new website. You specialize in the care of horses so you use the article site’s search function to find “horses”. Voila! There’s an article on laminitis, a very painful malady. Simply select it and follow the site’s directions and you have your website’s content for the week. Next week, just repeat the process to find another article.
Of course, as with anything, sometimes free stuff is not even worth that much. Be sure to read the article first to make sure it really offers new information and that it is well-written. It pays to be cautious: Sometimes people will try to pass off an article as their own work when they really ripped it off of someone else. Select a key phrase and enter it in a search engine. If it turns up other articles that eerily resemble the article that you are considering, stay well away from it. Using a plagiarized article could hurt your credibility, and thus your business, in the long run.
Also, students, please don’t get any bright ideas for using free article sites for an “automatic” term paper. Your professors and teachers have many ways to check if a paper has been “lifted” from another site. Don’t ruin your grade, and your academic career, by trying it.
However, if you have a paper that received a good grade, or you wrote a professional paper that generated interest, you might consider submitting it to a free article site. Many of these sites allow other users to rate articles. Highly rated articles can earn points and even money. Other sites host contests, debates and list publishers and the articles they are seeking. Who knows? Your article could be the start of a whole new career for you.
If you have an article to submit, be sure to check the website’s guidelines. They can be very stringent. These guidelines ensure that articles are original and are formatted correctly so they appear correctly on the website. Many articles sites have rules about what subjects they won’t accept (such as adult content or hate-speech). They do check articles submitted and do refuse articles that don’t meet the guidelines.
Using free article websites is a great way to update your website and to gain exposure to your writing capabilities. Give it a try.

How To Write A Keyword Article

By Earl Williams Williams [ 30/01/2008 ]
[ viewed 12 times ]

There is a lot of talk these days about using keyword articles to attract visitors to a website for a home base-business; and with the growing use of article marketing, there seems to be some benefit to using this method in a company's marketing plan. There is also some confusion about the use of keywords as well as what they are and what they mean to a website owner.

First of all, keywords are those entered into a search engine by an Internet user who is looking for specific information. They may not know exactly what they are looking for but they know what they want. For example, if a person is looking for home improvement tips about replacing ceramic floor tile, they have the option of entering many different search terms, which really is what keywords are all about.

They may enter the term 'replace ceramic floor' or simply enter 'ceramic floor' and start looking at the search results pages for the information they can use. Terms such as 'replacement floors' or 'replacement ceramics' may also be used and business owners will have no idea what terms the user will look for and when beginning their search most users rarely find what they want on the first few tries. Unless, there is an article somewhere that uses that exact phrase.

Typically, an article will contain a specific search term between four and 12 times, depending on the length of the article and the search time needs to be placed in the article so that the writing remains grammatically correct and the phrase is a natural order as though it belongs there and not used simply to use it. Unfortunately, some websites will use what is termed keyword stuffing, which uses the phrase 30 or 40 times in a four or 500 word article, which is a turn off for the search engines and really offers nothing useful to the web searcher.

Articles need to offer some value to the person conducting the search. If the company that sells replacement ceramic tile can produce a series of articles on the best way to remove the old tile, remove the old glue or cement from the surface, how to prepare the surface for new tile and other areas about the subject, they will provide valuable information that can draw visitors to their site where they may actually buy the tile.

These articles can be published on their own home base-business website or other businesses sites on pages dedicated to helping potential customers learn how to replace the tile. They can also be published on homeowner remodeling sites as tips for others. One thing that articles cannot do is advising the readers to visit a specific site or a specific business. This is unacceptable to search engines as well as to other web ezine publishers.

All published articles can have an author's biography giving the author credit for the article as well as outline their competence in the subject matter. The block on these articles could talk about their experience level in ceramic tile replacement and the years they have been involved in the business as well as mention they operate a business at the website location, including a hot link.
